Kenneth Rykewood has been fascinated by fashion since his childhood in Puerto Rico, where he grew up across the street from a clothing factory. He developed his artistic and creative talents at the University of Puerto Rico in Bayamon, where he earned a bachelor's degree. He then moved to New York City to pursue a career in modeling and acting, signing with several agencies and appearing in numerous film and television productions.
Rykewood has a successful modeling career, having participated in runways and press coverage at prestigious fashion events such as Toronto Men's Fashion Week, Copenhagen Fashion Week, Dubai Fashion Week, New York Men's Day, and Fashion Week Brooklyn. In 2017, he founded Fashion Public Corporation, a company dedicated to fostering global fashion connections through marketing, consulting, fashion classes, and media production services. Seeking partnerships to propel his fashion designs, modeling career, and multimedia ventures, Rykewood leverages his expertise as a certified video producer. His work includes documenting global fashion events, notably every season of NYFW: The Shows, and his films have aired on Brooklyn Free Speech TV. Currently, he serves as a production assistant at BRIC TV, while also producing an upcoming short film documentary for the station.
He is a multitalented artist with a diverse career spanning fashion modeling, acting, design, and television production. This multifaceted experience has cultivated a deep understanding of audience appeal within the fashion industry. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Special and Elementary Physical Education from the University of Puerto Rico at Bayamon and furthered his education at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. In 2021, he embarked on a journey towards sustainable fashion practices by commencing studies at Farmingdale State College. Currently, he is applying to a land-grant university to pursue a Master of Science in Fashion Design, specializing in sustainability, textile, fashion business or fashion merchandising.
Rykewood is dedicated to empowering individuals through art, media, and fashion. He has provided educational services to various communities, including seniors and adults, through his work with Fashion Public Corporation. His teaching experience extends to institutions such as the Brooklyn Public Library, Willoughby Senior Center, Borinquen Senior Center, and United Senior Center of Sunset Park. In recognition of his artistic and pedagogical contributions, Rykewood was awarded an art residency by the Brooklyn Arts Council as part of the SU CASA Award Program for the years 2023, 2024, and 2025.
